What is the application process?

The application process is simple, straightforward, and designed for your convenience. You can apply in the following steps:

Online Application: Visit our website and fill out the application form. Provide all the necessary details including your contact information, CDL license details, and previous driving experience.
Screening: After receiving your application, our team will review it and verify your details. If your qualifications match our requirements, we will contact you for the next step.
Interview: If shortlisted, you will be invited for an interview. This will be an opportunity for us to get to know you better and for you to ask any questions you may have about the job or our company.
Training: Successful applicants will be required to undergo a company-specific training course. This course will familiarize you with our operations, values, and safety protocols.
Assignment of Routes: Once the training is completed satisfactorily, you will be assigned a freight route and can start driving with us.

Can you drive a semi without a CDL?

No, you cannot legally drive a semi-truck without a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). According to federal law, any commercial vehicle exceeding 26,000 pounds or designed to transport 16 or more passengers, including the driver, requires the operator to hold a CDL. This law applies to all 50 states, so driving a semi-truck without a CDL could result in hefty fines or even jail time in some cases. At Dynamic Dedicated, we strictly adhere to these regulations and require all our drivers to possess a valid CDL.

How many hours can a CDL driver drive?

According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, a CDL driver may drive a maximum of 11 hours after 10 consecutive hours off duty. Additionally, a driver cannot drive past the 14th consecutive hour after coming on duty, following 10 consecutive hours off duty.

The FMCSA also imposes a limit of 60/70 hours on duty over 7/8 consecutive days. After reaching this limit, drivers must take an off-duty period of 34 or more consecutive hours to reset their 7/8 consecutive day count. However, these federal regulations might be subject to some exceptions depending on specific circumstances.
